Click Here to Fund “Jo Butler Memorial Fund”
Jo has been battling withh Stage IV Breast Cancer since April of 2019. Unfortunately, she passed away this morning . Jo was a sweet and loving person. She smiled a great deal and never liked conflict. She adored her loved ones and friends. In 1977, Jo was unjustly sentenced to Life without parole and served 42 years in Muncy state prison for women. In June. Jo Butler was released from prison on compassionate release due to her terminal illness. Even though Jo wasn’t totally free to do and go where she wanted to for she was constantly monitored with an ankle bracelet on by the state, she had an opportunity to be with her family, grandkids, friends, and especially her only daughter Wanda Butler who has been so instrumental in caring for her mom. However, Jo Butler wasn’t allow to receive any monetary or social services because she was still labeled as a ward of the state so she had no insurance and or savings. Therefore, Kon-nectingservices, Inc. a 501 (c) 3 organization advocating for currently and formerly Incarcerated women and their families against discrimination n injustices has created this fund to help support with her funeral remainding balance, repast, food, and obituary cost. To all who donate, you can receive a tax write off for doing so because KNS is a nonprofit taxed exempt organization and all proceeds will benefit the memorial service and her final cost in life. We understand this is the holiday season but whatever you can give will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
